Sonya Lundh-Gay is Democratic Candidate for HD 134 (Saco)
(This is the seat currently held by Rep. Linda Valentino, who is running for SD 5 against fellow Democrat Rep. Donald Pilon.)
She submitted the following narrative:
“Sonya Lundh-Gay, 42, mother of five grown children, is a seasonal employee for LLBean and runs a small farm in Saco with her husband selling vegetables and eggs. Sonya has worked two jobs at times to support her family and is proud of her two US Marine sons and teacher daughter. Sonya is a firm believer that hard work will pay off. She is a working American and will do whatever it takes to stand for justice for Mainers.
Sonya was Roger Gay’s campaign manager and treasurer in the 2010 election for State House Rep District 134. She has life experience that makes up for her lack of political knowledge. Sonya wants to be the VOTERS voice in Augusta. She will fight for fair living wages, welfare reform, education and healthcare for ALL, protect farmers and the small businessman, wants to build greenhouses to supply Mainers with healthy locally grown food, lower taxes and protect retirement benefits.
We need better care for our disabled, elderly and veterans. Retirees are lacking the resources they have worked so hard for, just to live a decent retirement life. I do not believe anyone should loose their homes if they need help or get sick. We need to work a budget that allows teachers to keep what they have worked for; after all they are VERY important for our children. To many children are falling through the cracks, lets save our future generations so that they may become productive working adults. Let’s take a stand against the corporations and pharmaceutical companies selling bad products and medicines, they should be held accountable for what they sell.
LET’S BRING JOBS BACK HOME! Less overseas, more American products means more jobs! If we stand together we can accomplish anything! Vote for Change!
Sonya does not have her own agenda, she WILL be merely the voice of Saco residence, standing up for their concerns and beliefs. Sonya is looking forward to serving on several committees, if she is elected. She understands what the true meaning of a representative is and Sonya Lundh-Gay wants to be your next State House Representative of District 134.”
